Joe Barker

Joe Barker is an accomplished rugby coach and educator with extensive experience in both national and club-level rugby. Currently serving as Attack & Backs Coach for the Men's National 15’s and Defence Coach for the Women's National 15’s at the Hong Kong Rugby Union since July 2021, Joe also holds the position of Director of Rugby and Head Coach at Kowloon Rugby Club. Prior experience includes coaching roles at Mount Kelly Hong Kong and the Rotherham Titans, where Joe served as Head Coach and player, amassing over 50 appearances. Joe's coaching portfolio is complemented by a solid foundation in physical education, having worked at various educational institutions, including Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, where responsibilities included rugby development and PE instruction. Joe holds a BA in Sports Studies from Leeds Beckett University and has a history of representing England at various youth levels in rugby.
