Silvia Chen

Silvia Chen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the finance and exchange sectors. Currently serving as the Managing Director in the CEO Office at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), Silvia is responsible for strategic partnerships and cross-regional projects to enhance HKEX's global position. Previous roles at HKEX include leading the Innovation and Data Lab, where Silvia managed fintech projects and business operations, and heading China Issuer Services, focusing on IPO strategies. Prior to HKEX, Silvia held the position of Executive Director at HSBC Global Banking and Markets, successfully overseeing Greater China Equity Capital Market activities. Additional experience includes a secondment as a Public Equities Investment Analyst at China Investment Corporation and an Investment Banking Analyst role at Merrill Lynch. Silvia holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Engineering & Operational Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
