Sylvian Lee has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Sylvian currently serves as the Head of Information Technology at the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants since October 2020. Prior to this, they held the same position at The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited from June 2019 to May 2020. From January 2018 to March 2019, Sylvian worked as the IT Director at Vietnamobile, where they oversaw application development, system architecture/integration, and ensured security and compliance.
Before that, Sylvian held the position of Director, Technology at Hong Kong Disneyland from May 2015 to March 2017. In this role, they were responsible for corporate IT, enterprise infrastructure, and business applications. Sylvian managed a team of 60 professionals and implemented IT strategic plans and governance processes.
Sylvian's previous work experience includes serving as a board member of the Electronics and Telecommunications Training Board at the Vocational Training Council from April 2011 to May 2015. Sylvian was also the Head of Information Technology at Hutchison Telecoms from July 2010 to May 2015.
Prior to that, Sylvian worked at Ericsson as the Head of Hutchison Managed Services from January 2008 to June 2010. Sylvian also held various positions at O2 (Telefónica UK), including Chief Information Officer for Asia Pacific & Middle East, Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific, and Regional Technical Architect.
Sylvian's career began at Hutchison Telecoms in 1995, where they held the roles of Sr. Manager - iService Department and Manager – Network Quality. Sylvian later worked at Unisoft Limited as the Manager – System Division from July 1990 to March 1995.
Sylvian Lee attended City Of London Polytechnic from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computing.

The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs is the only statutory body responsible for the registrations of accountancy professionals in Hong Kong. The Institute has more than 46,000 members and more than 19,000 registered students. Members of the Institute are entitled to the description certified public accountant and to the designatory letters CPA. The Hong Kong Institute of CPAs evolved from the Hong Kong Society of Accountants, which was established on 1 January 1973. The Institute operates under the Professional Accountants Ordinance and works in the public interest. The Institute has wide-ranging responsibilities, including assuring the quality of entry into the profession through its postgraduate qualification programme and promulgating financial reporting, auditing and ethical standards in Hong Kong.
