Dave Chen

Dave Chen has extensive experience in the field of technology and enterprise architecture. Dave currently holds the position of Vice President at the Hong Kong Computer Society, where they also serve as an Advisor and Convener for the Enterprise Architecture Specialist Group. In the past, they have held roles such as Director of Emerging Technology and Director of Talent Cultivation at the same organization. Prior to their current position, they worked as the Head of Information Technology at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Dave is also involved in voluntary work, serving as a member of the Steering Committee on eHealth at the HKSAR Government. Additionally, they have worked with companies such as Amazon Web Services as an AWS Authorized Instructor Champion, XML Asia Limited as a Java Architect, CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited as an Application Specialist, COL Limited as a Programmer, and TradeEasy, Global Market Group as a Software Engineer. Dave is also the Founder and Chairman of the Association of Enterprise Architects, Hong Kong Chapter. Their work experience dates back to 1999 when they started as a Software Engineer Intern at Renren Inc.

Dave Chen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Engineering Physics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1999 to 2001. Dave then pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, Dave has obtained numerous certifications in various fields such as cloud computing, project management, and data analysis. Some of their certifications include AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Alibaba Cloud Big Data Analysis Specialty.
