Douglas Mains

Douglas Mains is a prominent attorney with extensive experience in government relations and regulatory law, currently serving as Partner and Co-Leader of the Cannabis Industry Group at Honigman LLP since January 2017. Prior to this role, Douglas was an Associate and Co-Founder of the Cannabis Law Practice at Dykema, where significant contributions included drafting and advocating for key legislation related to medical marijuana in Michigan. Douglas also held the position of Deputy Legal Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor with the Michigan House of Representatives, offering legal and policy guidance to several committees and drafting over 40 pieces of legislation. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Cornell University, a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Laws in Business Law from The University of Alabama.
