Stewart Yerton is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in business reporting and feature writing, particularly focused on Hawaii. Since April 2017, Stewart serves as a Senior Business Reporter for Honolulu Civil Beat. Previously, Stewart worked as an Analyst for the Hawaii State Auditor and as a Freelance Writer with notable clients like Travel + Leisure and ForbesTraveler. Civil Beat also hopes to foster community discussion by providing a place where citizens can debate important issues in a civil manner, free from cheap shots and personal swipes. We do that through encouraging a wide variety of reader-submitted Community Voices, public events and through our integrated Civil Comments platform.
