Jim Vanwestrienen

Jim vanWestrienen has extensive experience in systems integration and controls, currently serving in this role at Hood Patterson & Dewar since December 2020. Prior to this, Jim worked as a Field Engineer at Russelectric, Inc. from June 2017 to December 2020 and again from August 2009 to October 2016. Jim's expertise includes startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC controlled switchgear and transfer switches. Additionally, Jim was a Controls Engineer at ESSMetron for a brief period in 2016 and served in Power Generation Field Service at Cummins NPower from 2003 to 2009, focusing on emergency generator systems. Jim holds an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force, earned between 1996 and 2000.
