The Hooded Grebe Foundation was born to address a growing need: to empower and expand science-based conservation efforts through the restoration and management of ecosystems throughout Patagonia and other regions of Argentina. Our purpose is to contribute to a protected and restored Patagonia—from the Andes to the sea. The Hooded Grebe (Podiceps gallardoi), an emblematic and critically endangered bird, is our flagship species that inspires awareness and action across the region. Our main goal is to let conservation needs guide our efforts, seeking efficient, evaluated, and time-sustainable solutions. Our impact is on a regional and global scale. We are guided by the commitment to administer conservation funds responsibly, efficiently, and with the greatest possible impact.
