Kathryn Polkoff

Kathryn Polkoff, PhD, is a co-founder and CEO of Hoofprint Biome since January 2023. Previously, Kathryn held the position of Innovator Fellow at Breakthrough Energy from September 2023 to November 2024. Prior to these roles, Kathryn served as a postdoctoral researcher in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University from April 2022 to May 2023 and as a graduate research fellow in Cell Biology at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine from August 2017 to February 2022. Kathryn earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Biomedical and Clinical Sciences from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the same institution.
