Marco Vaartjes

Marco Vaartjes is an experienced professional in water management and quality, currently serving as an Adviseur waterkwaliteit and Operationeel adviseur at Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland since August 2011. With a strong background in the management and maintenance of water systems, Marco acts as a liaison between policy and operational activities, focusing on water quality issues. Prior to this role, Marco held positions as Adviseur Vergunningen, Water en Milieu at DHV from June 2006 to August 2011 and as Senior toezichthouder at Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland from November 2003 to June 2006. Marco holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Greenwich and a Bachelor's degree in Land- and Watermanagement from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
