Kathryn Fischer

Associate Director, Business Affairs at Hook Studios

Kathryn Fischer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Kathryn currently holds the position of Associate Director of Business Affairs at Hook, a role they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager of Business Affairs at the same company from January 2019 to July 2021. Before their role in business affairs, Kathryn worked as a Senior Producer and Producer at Hook from June 2018 to January 2019 and from March 2015 to June 2018, respectively.

Before joining Hook, Kathryn worked as a Project Manager at BlueWater Technologies from April 2014 to February 2015. Prior to that, they were a Producer at Team Detroit from November 2011 to March 2014, where they were responsible for the production of Portable Data Models for Ford and Lincoln vehicles, as well as the production of Build and Price assets.

In addition, Kathryn served as a Knowledge Committee Member at 313 Digital from January 2010 to October 2011. Kathryn also worked as an Account/Production Manager at The Core Group from October 2009 to October 2011, where they focused on creating partnerships with creatives and marketing professionals to execute various artistic projects.

Before their roles in the digital industry, Kathryn gained experience in the advertising sector. Kathryn held the positions of Account Manager at Speedshape from an unspecified start date to July 2009, where they were responsible for scheduling and training studio artists, and Production Manager at Daniel Clark & Associates for an unspecified period in 2007. At Great Eyedeas, Kathryn worked as a Senior Account Executive from July 2004 to April 2006, where they managed client relations and increased sales by over 40%.

Kathryn's early work experience includes the role of Producer at Stage 3 Productions from May 2001 to May 2004, where they coordinated commercial photography shoots, managed budgets, and assisted the sales staff in obtaining new business.

Throughout their career, Kathryn has demonstrated a strong background in production, business affairs, and project management.

Kathryn Fischer's education history begins with their time at Michigan State University from 1994 to 1996, during which they studied Journalism but did not obtain a degree. Kathryn then attended Lansing Community College from 1998 to 2001, earning an AAS in Photographic Imaging Technologies with a focus on Photography and Journalism. In 2019, Kathryn enrolled in Eastern Michigan University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies, with their expected graduation year being 2022. In terms of additional certifications, Kathryn obtained the Digital Marketing Circuit certification from General Assembly in May 2017 and acquired the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2018.
