Amanda McGoey

Director, Public Affairs at HOOPP

Amanda McGoey currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), a position held since June 2020. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Strategy and Stakeholder Relations at Baycrest from September 2016 to June 2020, and the Director of Policy and Communications at the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) from April 2014 to August 2016. Amanda's background also features roles at the Office of the Premier, Government of Ontario, where responsibilities included Senior Advisor for Health Policy and Senior Policy Advisor from November 2007 to March 2014. Additional political campaign involvement includes Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director for Reza Moridi and Jim Brownell's re-election efforts in 2011 and 2007, respectively, as well as working as an MPP Liaison in the Minister's Office of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities from December 2003 to August 2007. Amanda holds an HBA in Psychology with a Gerontology Minor from Lakehead University, completed between 1998 and 2002.
