John Nevins

John Nevins has a diverse background in communications, with their most recent role as a Director of Communications at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) starting in 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at HOOPP from 2019 to 2021. Before joining HOOPP, John was a Communications Manager at CI Investments Inc. from 2016 to 2019, where they focused on providing strong and engaging communications for external marketing. John also worked as a Consultant at Communications and Branding from 2013 to 2017, providing communications support to various organizations. John has also held communications-related roles at BMO Financial Group, D+H (formerly Davis + Henderson), Resolve Corporation, Nelnet, and EDULINX Canada Corporation, where they were involved in managing corporate communications, brand management, and employee engagement programs.

John Nevins attended McMaster University from 1990 to 1993, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology. John then went on to study at Humber College from 1993 to 1994, obtaining a Certificate in Post-Graduate Marketing Management.
