Head Of Sustainable Investing at HOOPP

Sarah Takaki has had a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. Sarah is currently the Head of Sustainable Investing at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director, Sustainable Investing at HOOPP from September 2019 to December 2021.

Before joining HOOPP, Sarah worked at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan starting in 2014. Sarah held the positions of Senior Principal from March 2018 to August 2019, Principal, Responsible Investing from January 2017 to March 2018, and Associate, Responsible Investing from April 2014 to December 2016.

Sarah also worked as a Sustainability Consultant at Brookstone Strategy Group from September 2013 to February 2014. Additionally, they were an MBA Candidate at Cambridge Judge Business School from September 2012 to September 2013.

Sarah'searlier experience includes working as a Consultant, Business Process Improvement at BMO Financial Group from February 2010 to September 2012. Sarah also served on the Board of Directors at FoodShare Toronto from June 2011 to June 2012, providing strategic oversight and guidance on governance and fiscal management.

Prior to that, Sarah worked as a Program Director at Engineers Without Borders Canada from September 2007 to July 2009. In this role, they reported directly to the CEO and was responsible for achieving national targets for two Canada-wide programs, as well as developing and implementing organizational learning and leadership development initiatives.

Sarah began their career as an overseas volunteer at the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Government of Ghana, from May 2006 to August 2006.

Overall, Sarah has extensive experience in sustainable investing, responsible investing, consulting, and leadership development in various organizations.

From 2012 to 2013, Sarah attended the University of Cambridge where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Social Innovation.

Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, Sarah studied at Western University and earned a MESc degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Sarah's undergraduate degree was also obtained from Western University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Sarah received a BESc degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
