Steve O'Neill, MBA, CPA, CMA, CAIA has significant work experience in various finance and investment management roles. Steve joined HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) in 2009 and has held several positions including Senior Director, Investment Management Reporting & Business Solutions, Director, Investment Reporting, Valuation & Risk, Senior Manager, Investment Reporting, Valuation & Risk, and Manager, Investment Management Reporting. Steve also served on the Finance Committee for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association from 2013 to 2018. From 2012 to 2015, they were the President & Treasurer of the Board of Directors for Matthew John Daycare. Steve began their career at CIBC World Markets in 1999, where they worked in the Middle & Front Office until 2007. Steve then moved on to Merrill Lynch and served as an Assistant Vice President, specializing in Fixed Income & Equity Derivatives from 2007 to 2009.

Steve O'Neill holds a BBA degree with a Business Major and Mathematics Minor from Wilfrid Laurier University, which was completed between 1994 and 1997. Steve pursued further education and completed an Executive MBA at Ivey Business School at Western University from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Chartered Professional Accountant (CMA) designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) by completing the program before 2015. Steve O'Neill also received a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation from an undisclosed institution in 2005.
