Brandon McRae

Brandon McRae is an experienced software developer currently serving as a Senior Software Developer in DevOps at Hootsuite since February 2016. Brandon has a diverse background in software development, having worked in various roles that include leading a team during a transitional period and addressing database scaling challenges with Redis. Previous positions at Hootsuite involved contributions to front-end development using React and the extraction of authorization logic into a Scala REST microservice. Brandon's initial experience as an intern at BoldRadius Solutions encompassed the full software development life-cycle, where skills in functional programming, agile project management, and database design were developed. Brandon holds a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Western University, earned in 2015.
