Ankur Kalra

Ankur Kalra has been working in the field since 2005. Ankur began their career at Expedia, Inc as a Program Manager Intern, where they put together a proposal and project plan to identify and address usability issues in the purchasing pipeline that projected savings of over $6MM annually. In 2006, they moved to Amazon.com as a Senior Software Development Engineer for Amazon Instant Video and a Software Developer for Amazon Prime. In 2012, they began various entrepreneurial adventures as a Founder, hustler, and freelancer. Theirmost recent work experience is at Hop Labs, where they serve as the Founder and CEO. At Hop Labs, they help funded startups and Fortune 10 companies articulate and accelerate their ML strategy. Theiradvisory team also helps executives identify promising techniques from current machine learning research that can be deployed to address real-world business problems.

Ankur Kalra attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Masters of Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a BS in Computer Science.
