Hope Alliance
Monica Brownlow has experience as a Shelter Victim Advocate at Hope Alliance, where Monica provides survivors with trauma-informed care. Prior to this, Monica worked as a DV/SA Survivor Advocate, Apothecary Apprentice at Autumn's Harvest, and Website Designer/Developer at M. Brownlow Designs. Monica also has experience as a Writing Consultant and Teaching Assistant at Rice University, and as a Writer and Researcher at Sunflower Education. Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & Classical Studies from Rice University.
Hope Alliance
Hope Alliance assists family and sexual violence survivors by providing services and developing partnerships that lead to hope, healing, and prevention. Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, accompaniment to the hospital, police, and court, and primary prevention services. All services are provided free of charge throughout Williamson County. The organization is governed by a board of directors, managed by a Chief Executive Officer, and has an administrative rate of ~14%, meaning that .86 of every dollar goes directly to services.
