Steve Vanderveen

Steve VanderVeen is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in higher education and community support. Presently serving as a Visiting Lecturer at Calvin University, teaching courses in entrepreneurship and design thinking, Steve also holds the position of Adjunct Professor. As the Founder and Director of Start-Up AcademE, Inc., and Steve VanderVeen, LLC, a biographical writing service, Steve has been instrumental in fostering entrepreneurial skills within communities. Notable previous roles include Business Professor and Emeritus at Hope College, where Steve directed key initiatives and taught various business courses from 2004 to 2022, and serving as Faculty Lead at Cornerstone University. Additionally, Steve has made contributions as a volunteer columnist and research fellow, all while holding credentials including a Ph.D. in Consumer Behavior and Marketing from the University of Illinois Chicago.
