Currently serving as a Trustee Board member for Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance since May 2023, Charlie also holds positions on the Global Council of The Chartered Governance Institute since February 2022 and has been President and UKI Board member since November 2009. With a solid background in leading secretarial functions for FTSE 100 companies, Charlie's previous roles include Company Secretary at Experian plc, Group Company Secretary at Standard Chartered PLC, and various senior positions at Allied Domecq plc, RMC Group p.l.c., and English China Clays plc, among others. Educational achievements include qualifications from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, earning Grad ICSA, ACIS, FCIS, and FCG designations.

Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance
Together, we are bringing freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery by identifying victims, supporting survivors and preventing exploitation. Hope for Justice is a charity working to bring freedom from human trafficking and modern slavery with an effective and proven multi-disciplinary model. Our wholly owned social enterprise, Slave-Free Alliance, provides services to global companies and public bodies seeking to protect their operations and supply chains against the risks of modern slavery and labour exploitation. We have active programmes in the UK, USA, Ethiopia and Uganda, reaching approximately 200,000 adults and children a year. Slave-Free Alliance also works in Australia.
