Shannon Updike

Shannon Updike has extensive work experience in the field of family services. Shannon began their career in 2005 at HopeTree Family Services, initially serving as an Associate Director of Foster Care & Adoption. Over the years, they progressed to become the Senior Director of Children's Services and ultimately assumed the role of Director of Foster Care & Adoption in March 2020. Additionally, Shannon also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Virginia State University from August 2014 to June 2020.

Shannon Updike pursued their education in the field of Social Work. From 1999 to 2003, they attended Longwood University and earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Following this, they went on to further enhance their knowledge and skills in Social Work by pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2003 to 2004.
