Jasmin Zarb

Jasmin Zarb serves as the President and Director of Industry Relations at Hopkins Biotech Network since July 2021. Currently a PhD candidate at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Jasmin is engaged in research focused on the DNA mismatch repair protein MutS in Dr. Taekjip Ha's laboratory. Previous experience includes a fellowship at the FDA's Dr. Freedberg lab, where contributions involved 2D NMR spectra analysis and polysaccharide research, as well as developing a transgenic mouse model of prostate cancer at University of Maryland Baltimore County in the Dr. Bieberich lab. Additional research roles included studies on Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus oralis at various institutions. Jasmin holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
