Leanne Kampfe has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Leanne began their career as a Vocal Music Instructor at Wagner Community School from 1996 to 1999. Leanne then worked as a Section Leader at Wesley United Methodist Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in 2004. In 2002, they became a Conductor at the Music Association of Minnetonka. Leanne joined Hopkins Public Schools in 2000, where they held various roles including Teacher on Special Assignment and Vocal Music Instructor until 2014. Leanne then moved to Minneapolis Public Schools, where they worked as an Assistant Principal from 2014 to 2017. Since 2017, Leanne has been serving as the Principal of Hopkins West Junior High, and they are set to continue in this position at Hopkins Public Schools in 2023.
Leanne Kampfe completed their Doctor of Education (EdD) with Administrative Licensure in Educational Leadership and Administration, K-12 at Hamline University from 2011 to 2017. Leanne earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Music Education from the University of Minnesota from 1999 to 2001. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Northern State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music Education in Vocal Music from 1991 to 1996.
