Doug Belcher has extensive work experience in the renewable energy and power industry. Doug is currently the Director of Sales - Western Region, Reserve Power at HOPPECKE Batteries, Inc North America, where they are responsible for selling battery back-up energy storage systems and solutions in the Western US and Canada. Prior to this role, Doug worked as a Renewable Energy & Network Comms. Consultant at CDB Consulting, where they focused on business development, sales/marketing, and project management in the renewable energy sector. Doug also has experience as a National Sales Manager at EPC Services Co. and as a Renewables Sales Manager and Regional Sales/Project Manager at Electric Power Systems, where they specialized in sales and project management for HV power plant construction and maintenance testing. Doug also worked as a Business Development and Tech. Marketing & Sales professional at CDB Consulting and as an Optical Network Planner/Sales Engineer at Nortel Networks, where they designed and implemented optical networks for carrier and enterprise customers.
Doug Belcher has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) with a focus on Communications/Electro-optics, Power & Controls from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Doug also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance & Marketing from the University of Idaho. Additionally, they obtained the Engineer In Training certification from the State of Colorado in December 2001 and the Fiber Optics Designer (FOD) certification from IDEX Health & Science, LLC - Melles Griot in March 1995.
