Philippe Laflamme

Software Architecht at Hopper

Philippe Laflamme is a software architect who has worked on bioinformatics platforms for the past 15 years. Philippe is currently employed at Hopper, but they have also worked with the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and Genome Quebec. Philippe's work revolves around developing software that can store, index, and analyze large amounts of genotyping data. Philippe has been involved in several large projects, including the development of a novel technique to store genotypes (GenoByte) and the design and implementation of a genotype analysis software (ARCTIC). Philippe is also responsible for suggesting and implementing software development best-practices, which have helped increase the productivity and communication of the teams they have worked with.

Philippe Laflamme has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke. Philippe also has a certification from Coursera in Principles of Reactive Programming.
