Mahmoud Ismail began their work experience as a Research Assistant at Nile University in 2009. In this role, they contributed to the development of the Ipv6Crawler back-end and front-end, surveyed about cloud computing, virtual worlds, and semantic multimedia, and designed and implemented a distributed storage system called Nilestore.
In 2011, Mahmoud joined Peerialism AB as a Software Engineer. Mahmoud'swork focused on designing and implementing proof-of-concept P2P systems, documenting system architecture and protocols, implementing and testing peer-to-peer protocols, and building a JRuby wrapper for in-house Java libraries.
In 2013, they started their PhD studies at KTH and worked as a Teaching Assistant. Mahmoud completed their PhD in 2019 and continued their teaching assistant role until December 2018.
Most recently, Mahmoud worked at Hopsworks, where they held the positions of Software Engineer and Co-Founder starting from January 2018. The end dates for their roles at Hopsworks are not provided.
