Steve Biggs

Steve Biggs, MBA, is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as the Division Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Retail at Horace Mann since 2023, Steve leads planning, forecasting, and reporting for a $1B+ business focused on property & casualty, life, and retirement insurance. Previously, Steve held positions as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at Embark MGA and as Division Chief Financial Officer at Horace Mann from 2014 to 2021, where responsibilities included financial analysis and presenting to the executive leadership team. Early career roles included Senior Financial Manager at Allstate Insurance Company and Financial Analysis Manager at CNA Financial, as well as consulting at Ernst & Young, LLP. Steve holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
