Lesley Albanese

Lesley Albanese is the Chief Executive Officer of the Horatio Alger Association, a position held since April 2024, where the focus is on promoting the American Dream for future generations. Previously, Albanese served as the Senior Vice President for Initiatives at the Cato Institute from January 2018 to March 2024, overseeing strategic priorities and engagement initiatives. Additional leadership roles include President and Chief Operating Officer at The Center for Education Reform and Vice President of Development at the National Constitution Center, where development operations and fundraising efforts were directed. Albanese's earlier positions include Vice President of Development at both the Cato Institute and FreedomWorks, as well as Director of Sponsor Services and External Relations at the Cato Institute. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
