Eric Simon

Eric Simon has extensive experience in research and development management, currently serving as R&D Team Manager at HORIBA since September 2023. Prior roles include Imaging Team Manager at Parrot, overseeing the integration of drone embedded cameras, and Director of Engineering at Varioptic, where Eric led the development of optoelectronic liquid lens components. Earlier experience includes positions at Varioptic as a Project Manager, EADS Sodern as a System Engineer focusing on space technology, and R&D roles at LDCOM and THALES Optronics. Eric began a professional journey as a PhD student at CNES & BNM-Syrte, contributing to advancements in atomic clock accuracy. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics from Paris-Sud University and an engineering degree in Optics from Institut d'Optique Graduate School.
