Nicholas Mainardi

Cryptographic Software Engineer at Horizen Labs

Nicholas Mainardi began their work experience in 2013 as a Treasurer at BEST-Board of European Students of Technology-LBG Milan. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Politecnico di Milano as a PHD Student, focusing on homomorphic encryption algorithms and the accuracy of parsers for digital certificates. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Theoretical Computer Science and Algorithm Design course. In 2020, they joined RSTOR as a Software Engineer until 2021. Currently, they are working as a Cryptographic Software Engineer at Horizen Labs, contributing to the development of the proving system for ZK-SNARK proofs in the blockchain infrastructure.

Nicholas Mainardi has an extensive education history in the field of Computer Science Engineering. Nicholas obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree from Politecnico di Milano in 2013. Following that, they pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from both Politecnico di Milano and Chalmers University of Technology. Nicholas completed their Master's degree from Politecnico di Milano in 2016. In 2013, they also attended Chalmers University of Technology for a year as part of their Master's program. Currently, Nicholas is enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Politecnico di Milano, specializing in Computer Science Engineering.
