Zain Cheng

Zain Cheng is a seasoned technology executive with a robust background in engineering leadership, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering at Horizen Labs since May 2021, overseeing multiple teams focused on crypto wallets, block explorers, and decentralized apps. Prior to this, Zain held various engineering leadership positions at Rent The Runway from August 2014 to April 2021, including Senior Director of Engineering, where responsibilities spanned customer data engineering and consumer operations teams, as well as extensive team management and community-building initiatives. Zain's experience also includes roles at H.Bloom, Barclays Investment Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Siemens Medical Solutions, alongside mentorship in technology access initiatives through Inclusion. A Cornell University graduate, Zain holds both a Master's in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
