José Albuquerque has a long history of experience in sales and management roles. José began their career in 2003 as a Trainee at Global Estratégias - Consultoria and then moved on to become an Account Manager & Team Leader at Air Luxor. In 2006, they became a Project Manager at PT PRO and won a prize at a National level for their work in the area of Travel Expenditure Savings Best Practices. In 2007, José Albuquerque joined Nike and worked as a Category Manager JD GROUP, Strategic Account Executive JD, and Account Executive for Football, Basketball and Tennis. Most recently, they have been working as an Iberia Regional Sales Lead and Account Manager at Horizm since 2021, helping Sports Right Holders to better track, value and monetize their digital media.

José Albuquerque has a diverse educational background. José obtained a Post Graduate degree in Retail Management Post Graduation from INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education in 2005. Prior to that, they completed a FIRST degree in English from Cambridge School in 2004. From 1998 to 2004, José Albuquerque obtained Graduate Degrees in Management from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Fundamental of Digital Marketing from Google in 2021, Pensamento Estratégico from LinkedIn in 2020, Learning to Say No from LinkedIn in 2020, and Lynda.com.
