Jim Nelson

Jim Nelson has a diverse work experience in the banking industry spanning over three decades. Their most recent role was as a Senior Commercial Lending Manager at Horizon Community Bank, where they have been since 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at Goldwater Bank from 2010 to 2016. Jim also worked as an Independent Contractor at First Financial Network, Inc. in 2009. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Chief Credit Officer at Community Bank of Arizona from 2006 to 2008, and at Pinnacle Bank from 2005 to 2006. Jim was also the Chief Credit Officer at First Federal Bank from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they served as the Manager of Corporate Banking and Residential Construction Lines of Business at Compass Bank from 1999 to 2003, and as a VP at Chase Bank of Arizona from 1986 to 1993. Throughout their various roles, they have managed staff, implemented and overseen credit policies, and been a member of various loan committees.

Jim Nelson attended Arizona State University from 1978 to 1979, where they obtained a BA degree in Finance.
