Mario Garcia-Rosado

Mario Garcia-Rosado has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting with their most recent position, they are currently working as an Automation Engineer at Horizon Controls Group since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at AstraZeneca as an Automation Engineer, where they provided support to various groups and was responsible for supporting control systems in the manufacturing facility. Mario worked at AstraZeneca from September 2015 to June 2021.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Mario worked as a Consultant at Perkin Elmer / TEKsystems, where they were involved in automation and control systems design, programming, and support in a cGMP environment. Mario worked there from October 2014 to August 2015.

Prior to that, Mario served as a Maintenance Engineer at AMRI (Albany Molecular Research Inc.) from August 2013 to September 2014. In this role, they applied engineering concepts to optimize equipment and systems, attended breakdowns, and led the Plant's Total Productive Maintenance program.

Mario also worked at Siemens Industry US as a Systems Specialist II from August 2010 to March 2013. In this role, they coordinated and managed technical product support for newly installed equipment and performed system preparation and design work.

Before joining Siemens, Mario held the position of Electro-Mechanical Engineer at Nephron Pharmaceuticals from July 2008 to July 2010. Here, they mentored engineering employees, assessed and implemented improvements in manufacturing and packaging equipment, and managed upgrades.

Mario's earlier experience includes working as an Electronics Technologist at Biovail Laboratories from June 2002 to June 2008. In this role, they made modifications to equipment, provided support for packaging troubleshooting, and performed maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment.

Lastly, Mario worked briefly as an Instrumentation Specialist at Pharmacia – Searle in 2002, where they performed preventive maintenance, installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of pharmaceutical process control instruments.

Mario Garcia-Rosado's education history began in 1994 when they attended Universal Educational Institute, where they obtained a diploma in Electricity (Electrician). Mario then proceeded to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon from 1996 to 2001.
