Amelia Hakes

Amelia started her career in the field of public accounting, after graduating from SUNY Buffalo with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting. She joined Horizon in 2013 as Senior Accountant and held various positions within the finance team before being appointed to VP of Finance in 2022. Amelia feels at home at Horizon because of the shared embodiment of the company mission that can be seen across the organization. Together for Recovery. Changing Lives. Saving Lives.

As VP of Finance, Amelia is responsible for overall financial operations including monthly reporting, companywide payroll, retirement plan administration and overseeing financial audits. She is passionate about employee engagement and strives to create programs and processes that benefit employees and patients alike, and better Horizon as a whole.
