John Ruffolo

John started his career as a Reimbursement Analyst in the healthcare field and held various accounting positions in manufacturing and distribution before joining Horizon as Controller in 2005. He was named Corporate Director of Finance for Horizon in 2011, and was recently appointed VP of Finance in 2021.

As VP of Finance, John is responsible for all financial policies, procedures, and internal controls for the Horizon Corporations. He oversees both the Billing & Finance departments, which include preparation and analysis of the financial statements, accounts payable and cash disbursements, payroll, accounts receivable, contracts and grant revenue. John also prepares the annual budget and is responsible for the oversight of the financial statement audit.

John is a graduate of Niagara University, where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. He is a member of the Niagara University Athletics Hall of Fame.
