Veronica A. Meldrum

VP, Employee Services at Horizon Health Services

As the VP of Employee Services, Veronica Meldrum is charged with creating and implementing HR strategies that are aligned with the company’s business strategy, with principle areas of focus on HR compliance; talent recruitment, workforce development and retention; compensation and benefits; and employee engagement.

Veronica has spent her career in the healthcare field, having held positions on both the provider and payer sides of the industry. She joined the Employee Services team in February 2015, however, was not new to the Horizon family. She spent 5 years with Horizon in the late 1990s in an operations management capacity and more recently served as a Board Member from 2012 to 2014. Between 2001-2015, Veronica worked in a managed care company, where she had the opportunity to contribute to many aspects of the corporation such as operations, product development, sales and marketing. Her continued interest and dedication to working with people coupled with her business experience helped her to advance to a career in the direction of an HR profession.

Veronica has many reasons for choosing to return to Horizon, most importantly, being part of a team that is making a difference in the lives of so many. Our corporate culture is built on the foundation of caring, compassion, and respect. It’s a privilege and an honor to be part of such a great team of dedicated individuals.

Veronica holds a Master of Science degree from the University at Buffalo. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and is a retired Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).
