Karen Coleman

Karen Coleman has extensive experience in social work and leadership within the mental health and social service sectors. Currently serving as the Social Work Service Manager at the Department of Human Services in Philadelphia since February 2017, Karen also holds a position as Clinical Education Manager at Horizon House, Inc. from October 2015. Additional roles include Clinician at Kirkbride Center and Instructor for the Behavioral Health Program at 1199SEIU, both since March 2015 and September 2013, respectively. Previously, Karen was the Director of Homelessness at Lutheran Settlement House - Jane Addams Place from June 2012 to July 2014, and the Director at BPUM from December 2009 to April 2012. Karen holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Walden University and a Master of Science in Administration from Lincoln University, complemented by a degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Social Services from Widener University-Delaware Campus.
