Horizons National
Christine Betterly is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in curriculum design, student intervention, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Reading Intervention Specialist at Horizons National since October 2022, Betterly has previously held educator roles at The Meadowbrook School of Weston and LREI, where innovative curriculum development was a priority, focusing on social and political contexts. Demonstrated expertise includes the use of technology for e-learning, performance gap analysis, and teacher training initiatives, alongside event planning and data analysis to enhance student productivity. Betterly holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Gettysburg College.

Horizons National is a nonprofit that partners with public, independent, and charter schools, colleges, and universities to create out-of-school academic, enrichment, and social-emotional learning programs for students from pre-kindergarten through high school. Our mission is to advance educational equity by building long-term partnerships with students, families, communities, and schools to create experiences outside of school that inspire the joy of learning.
