Horizons National
Sarah Marrocco-Velez has extensive experience in early childhood education, serving in multiple roles since 2016. Currently, at Horizons National, Sarah holds various titles including Lead Preschool Teacher and roles focused on social emotional learning and high school mentorship. Additionally, Sarah has been involved in tutoring students from grades 2 to 4. Other notable positions include Assistant Preschool Teacher at Norwalk Community College and CTAEYC, Preschool Teacher at St. Saviours, and Educational Assistant Teacher at Child Development Lab School. Sarah earned an ECTC Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from CT State Norwalk and previously completed a certificate in the same field.

Horizons National is a nonprofit that partners with public, independent, and charter schools, colleges, and universities to create out-of-school academic, enrichment, and social-emotional learning programs for students from pre-kindergarten through high school. Our mission is to advance educational equity by building long-term partnerships with students, families, communities, and schools to create experiences outside of school that inspire the joy of learning.
