John Kerns, Jr.

John Kerns, Jr. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John is currently working at Horizon River as a Senior Project Manager, where they manage the deployment of IT technology for new Tropical Smoothie café openings across the United States. Prior to this, from 2011 to 2019, John worked at Allure - A Christie Company as a Senior Project Manager and Account Manager. In this role, they oversaw digital signage projects from start to finish, managing the creative aspects of the project and servicing key accounts.

Before joining Allure, John worked at ProSys Information Systems from 2005 to 2011. Here, they served as a Novell/Microsoft Consultant and Senior System Administrator, providing support for co-located servers, network infrastructure, desktop computers, and phone systems. Additionally, they supported digital signage and U-verse demo software for AT&T Mobility stores.

From 1998 to 2005, John worked at WellStar Health System and McKesson Inc. as a System Administrator. John'sresponsibilities included managing and administering GroupWise E-mail systems, Novell BorderManager firewall, and NetMail systems.

John's previous work experience also includes serving as a Webmaster at PROMINA Health System from 1997 to 1998 and working as a Senior Graphic Designer/Art Director at Piedmont Hospital from 1992 to 1997.

John Kerns, Jr. has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University. John'sdegree focused on Visual Communication Design. In addition, they have obtained a Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) certification from the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) in August 2005.
