Qinxun Bai

Qinxun Bai is a Senior Research Scientist at Horizon Robotics since February 2019, contributing to advancements in artificial intelligence. Previously, Qinxun Bai held a similar position at Hikvision Research America, where significant work included new geometric setups for reinforcement learning and first-order optimization methods. Experience also includes a research role at Vicarious AI focused on generative modeling and depth sensor fusion, and a research assistantship at Boston University under the guidance of Prof. Stan Sclaroff. Internships at Microsoft Research Cambridge involved optimizing Markov chain Monte Carlo methods with PatchMatch-based approaches. Earlier career stages included research assistance and software engineering within the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on urban scene reconstruction. Qinxun Bai earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Boston University and holds a Master's Degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
