Maile Kawamura

Maile Kawamura is a seasoned professional in patient advocacy, currently serving as Senior Manager at Amgen since October 2023, where strategies are developed to enhance patient engagement and awareness. Prior to Amgen, Maile held similar roles at Horizon, advancing patient advocacy to improve access and outcomes, and at the Arthritis Foundation, managing operations and strategic initiatives in Hawaii. Experience also includes coordinating annual giving and events at Maryknoll School, chairing the inaugural Pink Tie Ball for the Hawaii Affiliate of Susan G Komen, and leading fundraising efforts at the Academy of the Pacific. Maile's teaching experience in the Hawaii State Department of Education complements a strong educational background, including a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington and additional graduate credits in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix.
