Mark Read

Mark Read is an experienced professional in the transport and civil engineering sectors, currently serving as the Manager of Transport Services at Horizons Regional Council since August 2021. Prior to this role, Mark held multiple positions at Palmerston North City Council, including Asset Management Team Leader and Infrastructure and Projects Engineer, from August 2017 to July 2021. Mark's career also includes experience as a Transportation Engineer at Beca from June 2015 to August 2017 and as a Graduate Engineer/Assistant Engineer at NZ Transport Agency from November 2012 to June 2015. Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland and completed secondary education at Rosehill College.
