Horry County Government has over 2,200 dedicated employees to serve the needs of our citizens. Horry (pronounced O-REE) County is located in the northeastern corner of South Carolina and encompasses 1,134 square miles with 383,101 residents. Horry County hosts eight cities and towns that welcome more than 20 million visitors annually who enjoy our many amenities including pristine beaches, shopping, golf, and a wide array of entertainment.
