Jared Tompkins

Jared Tompkins has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jared started their career as a Technology Sales Consultant at Office Depot in 2016 and worked there for three years. In this role, they repaired computers, provided technology services, and served as a sales consultant for new technology products.

In 2016, Jared also became the General Manager at Xpanse Records, where they were responsible for overseeing various operations, including approving contracts, managing the graphics team, and directing marketing for label releases. Jared held this position until 2019.

From 2017 to 2020, Jared worked at Clemson University in two different roles. Jared started as a CCIT Tier 1 Service Desk employee, assisting students and faculty with technology-related issues through various channels. Jared then became a Brooks Center Audio Technical Assistant, where they performed maintenance on audio equipment, managed inventory, and assisted with secretarial duties.

Most recently, Jared joined Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) in 2020 as a Programmer. In this role, they design program specifications, converts designs into code, and analyzes and revises programs as needed.

Jared Tompkins completed their high school education at Scholars Academy from 2012 to 2016, earning a High School Diploma. Following that, they attended Clemson University from 2016 to 2020, where they pursued two different degrees. Jared obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Production Studies in Performing Arts, with a concentration in Audio Technology.
