Mr. Trotter is the Chairman of the Board of Horsburgh & Scott. He co-founded GenNx360 Capital Partners in 2008. GenNx360 partly owns Horsburgh & Scott. During his 40 year career with General Electric, Mr. Trotter was named Vice Chairman, President and CEO of GE Industrial, where he was responsible for a $28 billion business with nearly 80,000 employees worldwide. Prior to this role, he was Executive Vice President of Operations where he led efforts to improve operational excellence across GE's businesses. From 2004 to 2006 he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Consumer & Industrial, a role he assumed following the 2004 merger of GE's Consumer Products, Industrial Systems, and Supply businesses.
Mr. Trotter began his GE career in 1970 as a field service engineer. He went on to hold production and technology positions in several GE businesses: Lighting, Gas, Turbine, and Appliances. He was later elected Vice President and General Manager of Manufacturing for Electrical Distribution and Control. In that role he was responsible for the entire manufacturing process and for the integration of 40 production facilities throughout the world.
Two years later, he became the business President and Chief Executive Officer, and in 1998 when it merged with GE Industrial Control Systems, he was named a GE Senior Vice President and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Industrial Systems. Mr. Trotter is also a Director at Textron, Inc. and PepsiCo and was on the board of directors for Daimler.
