Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU)
Chelsea Scroggins is an experienced IT professional currently serving as an IT Support Specialist at the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit since June 2023. Prior to this role, Chelsea worked as a User Permissions Administrator at UMB Bank from September 2022 to March 2023, and as a Technical Support Representative at RightSize Solutions from February 2019 to August 2022. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Cashier at ALDI USA and a Line Cook at Red Lobster, as well as a Sales Associate at JCPenney. Chelsea completed Centriq's IT Career Program with a focus on System and Security Administration, and also holds a degree from the University of Central Missouri earned between 2009 and 2012.
Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU)
The Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), a division of Drug Free Sport International, was created to serve as the independent enforcement agency of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority's (HISA) Anti-Doping and Medication Control program. The HIWU will establish a comprehensive and robust program that includes uniform testing protocols, adjudication processes and enforcement mechanisms to increase accountability and enhance the integrity of the competition for participants, fans and bettors.
