Josh Ourada

Josh Ourada is a Design Engineer at Horstman Inc, focusing on the design of mechanical and hydraulic test fixtures for hydropneumatic suspension assemblies using SolidWorks. Proficient in material selection and finish treatment processes, Josh also performs system and component level Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on military vehicle components. Prior experience includes serving as a Suspension Design Engineer at UMD Racing, where Josh conducted suspension kinematics analysis and developed analytical tools. Additional roles include mechanical engineering positions at BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin, where Josh contributed to design verification and simulation tasks. With a solid educational background in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University, Josh's career began in the United States Marine Corps as a Diesel Mechanic, providing a strong foundation in mechanical diagnostics and repair.
