Dr. James Kanyije

Dr. James Kanyije, is a professional accountant and the brains behind KK Foods, formed in 2011 after pioneering with Mashamba, Icemark and the fish industry where he worked for 17 Years.

KK Foods continues to be a regional pace-setter in global agricultural trends and fresh produce with a solid blend of local and regional expertise and a global perspective which uniquely positions the company to render sustained fresh produce exports while consistently meeting world standards in tightly regulated global markets such as the European Union and the United States of America.

Dr.Kanyije James, a strong visionary in the agricultural arena, has made it a point to leverage cutting-edge technology trends to further enrich the experience of the local farmer and has adopted a value-addition approach by providing services that include training, fustigation, irrigation, cold-room storage, export promotion, market research, value chain development and others. His mission is to increase export volumes to take advantage of the growing demand in the niche market and empower the small holder farmers in the region.

He is a shareholder in KK Fresh (UK) Ltd (80%) which is now Exporting 40-60tons per week into London. He is also a director of Jek Community Hospital in Luwero district where he is trying to treat cases in the farming community in Luwero.
